Tons of Great Events Coming Up!

While the season may be off to a slow start, Loveland is keeping busy with tons of great events. This weekend we are excited to host the SoGnar Snowboard Camp and Rail Jam. Also visiting this Sunday, Bent Gate Mountaineering out of Golden hosts a telemark and AT demo day. We also have some lady's only demos scheduled. On Thursday, December 6th, the Outdoor Divas visit with their wide range of women’s specific gear for you to try before you buy. Next weekend, Saturday, December 8th, Loveland hosts the Belles for Belles women’s specific Nordica Demo complete with pro skiers, Loveland Ski & Ride School instructors, and an après party with wine and cheese. SoGnar Snowboard Camp and Rail Jam
Loveland is excited to host the SoGnar Snowboard Camp National Tour and Shred Circuit Contest Series this weekend, December 1st & 2nd. Join us for a weekend of lessons with the local pro Pat Milbery to help you progress on a multitude of terrain park features. Evol Burritos, based in Boulder Colorado, will be serving lunch to all participants and tons of swag will be handed out all weekend long. The camp will cost $125 for two days of professional lessons and lunches. A special two day ticket will be available for an additional $50. On Saturday, December 1st, SoGnar will host the Shred Circuit Contest Series Rail Jam which is open to the public as well as camp attendees. Contest registration will cost $20 and camp participants will receive free entry. Tons of great prizes will be given to the winners as well as swag throw outs all day! Poster Contest - Deadline Extended!

Outdoor Divas Demo Day – Thursday, December 6th
The Outdoor Divas visit Loveland for a women’s specific demo day. Come out and try that new gear made specifically for women before you buy it. Belles for Belles Nordica Demo – Saturday, December 8th
The Loveland Sport Shop and Nordica invite intermediate and advanced skiers to a Ladies' demo day to benefit the Clear Creek Advocates. Check out Nordica's newest line-up of women's specific skis with help from pro skiers Christine Booker and Christine Braun and expert Loveland instructors and enjoy a wine & cheese apres party after. After weeks of beautiful spring skiing, a series of storms blew through the area dropping some fresh snow and rejuvenating the slopes. Over a foot fell in the past week and there is a chance for a couple more inches tonight. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center plays a much bigger role in your skiing safety than you might think. Not only is this organization an invaluable source for backcountry travelers, but anyone who has driven on I-70 have the CIAC to thank in part for their safe travels along this highway. New Terrain Open and More Snow on the Way!

Chair 4 and Chair 8 are now open just as another snowstorm is moving into position here at Loveland. The snow started falling yeterday and the forecast is calling for it to continue through Saturday. By the time it’s all said and done we could see 3 to 6 inches of fresh stuff, just in time for the weekend! Make plans to spend your weekend getting fresh lines at Loveland, not waiting in lift lines at the other resorts!

The Snow is Falling at Loveland Ski Area!

It has been a wintery few days here at Loveland with nearly a foot of fresh snow falling on the slopes this week. The forecast also looks good with some reports calling for up to 18" to fall through Sunday. This new snow would go a long way to helping us open more terrain, so keep doing your snow dance!

Be sure to sign up for custom snow reports to be the first to know how much we get. You can receive reports every day, only on Fridays, or anytime we receive 6 inches or more. Sign-up now and never miss another powder day again!

Salomon visits with their new BBR ski for you to demo at no cost. Their new BBR ski features a unique shape that will help you master all corners of the mountain in any conditions. Find them in the front of the Basin Parking Lot for your chance to try out a pair of the BBR Skis. There is no cost to participate although a valid lift ticket, driver's license and credit card for deposit are required.

Fun Family Race Day – Saturday, January 28th, 2012
