Snowmaking Progress and Storm System Moving In

Our snowmakers are hard at work and making tons of progress. Just check out the pictures and video taken this afternoon, it looks like the middle of winter here at Loveland! Not only is the snowmaking moving ahead quite nicely, but a winter storm warning is in effect and could bring as much as a foot of natural snow over the next 24hrs. Check back for updates and an opening day announcement.

Snowmaking has begun!

Cold temperatures and natural snowfall arrived earlier than expected allowing us to officially kick-off snowmaking for the 2009-2010 season. Crews fired up the system at 11:00 am, 3 days earlier than they were able to last season. With a favorable weather forecast for the next few days, conditions look good to get some good, productive hours in.
