Loveland's Closing Weekend Goes Out With a Bang!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, but at least we are going out with a bang! Loveland will close for the 2009 - 2010 season this Sunday, May 2nd but not before we get another powder day! Since last Thursday we have received over 2 feet of snow with another 8 inches of fresh snow this morning, Thursday the 29th! That's nearly 3 feet in a week and the forecast is calling for it to keep on falling! We're not sure how much we may get, but one thing for certain is that closing weekend conditions are going to be phenomenal! Don't miss it!

Your ski area closed already? Friends don't have a Loveland pass? Bring a 2009-2010 season pass from any ski area and receive one adult lift ticket for only $30! Take advantage of all this great spring snow because this offer is only good through the end of this season.

Tall Tees & Tacos - Session #2 - This Saturday, May 1st!
It's your last chance to strut your stuff! Join us this Saturday, May 1st for the second session of Tall Tees & Tacos, an amateur slopestyle competition with $10,000 in prizes. All ages and abilities are invited to register the morning of in the Rathskeller for only $20 and receive a Loveland Tall Tee with lunch provided by Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Mountain Dew. A valid lift ticket and signed waiver are required and coupons on lift tickets and registration can be found at any Colorado Wahoo's Fish Taco location.

Loveland is excited to announce that 2010 - 2011 Season Passes are on sale now at the lowest possible prices. Lock in the lowest price and ski on your pass for the remained of this season! Don't forget, all season passes come with 3 days at Monarch Mountain, and now 3 days at Durango Mountain Resort , plus tons of other great perks! Prices expire on May 31st, 2010.

Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party Raises $7600 for CAIC !
On behalf of Loveland Ski Area we would like to thank everyone who came out to support the 9th Annual Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party. Participants were treated with nearly 2 feet of fresh snow after a huge spring storm before the skies cleared in the afternoon for a killer apres party. The sun was shinning, the New Belgium Beer was flowing, and the Blue Canyon Boys got everyone up and dancing on the patio outside the Rathskeller. Overall the event was a complete success with $7600 raised for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center!

Only a Few Weeks of the Season Left!
With only a few weeks left in the 2009-2010 ski season it's time to get those last ski days in before we are closed for the summer! Closing day has been set for Sunday, May 2nd, although the snow and conditions are so great you wouldn't think the end of the season was right around the corner. With a couple great events coming up, live music and great spring skiing still to be had, make Loveland your choice for some outdoor fun!

Loveland Derby Celebrates 50 Years - This Weekend!
The Loveland Derby is the largest amateur race in North America and this weekend the event celebrates its 50th anniversary! The Derby will take place at Loveland Valley with a special alumni race and apres party on April 16th. All racers are invited to come out and celebrate the end of the 09-10 season with costumes, BBQs and fast paced racing fun for the entire family. Charity Poker Run This Saturday!
This Saturday, April 17th, Sunglass Management Design will be hosting a charity Poker Run at Loveland Ski Area. All proceeds from this event will go to the Autism Society of Colorado. Autism is a disorder of the brain that is currently affecting 1 in 135 children in Colorado. Register the morning of on the patio for only $50 including a lift ticket, or $20 if you already have a pass. Then ski around the mountain to visit the dealers and build your hand. The best hand at the end of the day wins. Tons of prizes, live music and great skiing all for a good cause!

Fresh Snow and Blue Bird Skies!

Spring skiing is in full swing here at Loveland Ski Area! More than a foot of fresh snow fell this week and with clear skies and sunshine, the skiing is the best it has been all season. The forecast is calling for mostly clear skies and warm temperatures over the weekend. The end of the season isn't far off so take advantage of these great conditions and beautiful weather before it is too late!

New Belgium Brewery's Scavenger a Crazy Success!
It looked more like Halloween than Easter last weekend here at Loveland, but then again it was New Belgium Brewery's Scavenger Hunt. Nearly 200 people showed up in costumes ready to search the mountain, win prizes and of course drink great beer! Check out all the craziness caught on video . As everyone who attended already knows, this is not an event you want to miss out on next season!

The Loveland Poker Run - Autism Society Benefit - Saturday, April 17th
Spice up that already great day of skiing with an on-hill game of poker! The only thing different with this poker game is there are no losers! All the proceeds will benefit the Autism Society of Colorado. Ski around the mountain and visit the different dealers to pick up your hand and turn it in at the end of the day. There are tons of great prizes for the winners and it is all for a great cause!

50th Annual Loveland Derby - Saturday & Sunday, April 17th & 18th
For 50 years Loveland Ski Area has been hosting America's largest amateur race, The Loveland Derby! Racers from all across the country dress up and travel to Colorado for the last race of the season. Spring Skiing and Riding at its Best!
The snow has started to fall here at Loveland Ski Area as a storm pushes in from the west. The forecast is still uncertain how much we may get although there is a chance for snow through the weekend. The skiing and riding here is already spring skiing at its best and with some fresh snow you don't want to miss out!


Loveland Valley Set to Close Sunday, May 4th

New Belgium Brewery's On-Hill Scavenger Hunt Returns!
With weather patterns looking like a dry erase board at a 2-year-old's birthday party and temperatures hitting the mid-70's in January, can things get any weirder? New Belgium Brewery says yes, and they are willing to put their beer where your mouth is to prove it. We're happy to announce we're bringing back our on-hill Scavenger Hunt !

This is a day to don your best costume, chase chickens, search for bigfoot and answer some ridiculous riddles all while skiing, raising money for a great local non-profit, and bonding with your friends. So get a buddy or six, bring $10 and your ski pass, or purchase a lift ticket, and join the fleet of New Belgium characters on the slopes of Loveland for a Scavenger Hunt like no other this Saturday, April 3rd.

Loveland Welcomes City Workers During Furlough Day !
The employees of the City and County of Denver are taking a mandatory furlough day on Friday, April 2. As a thank you to these employees for their sacrifice, Loveland Ski Area is excited to offer discount tickets to these employees and their immediate family on Friday, April 2, 2010. Employees must show a valid employee ID to receive the discount. These employees are eligible to purchase adult tickets for $20 each(limit 2) and child tickets for just $10 each(no limit). This discount is valid on April 2, 2010 ONLY.
