Chair 4 and Chair 8 are now open just as another snowstorm is moving into position here at Loveland. The snow started falling yeterday and the forecast is calling for it to continue through Saturday. By the time it’s all said and done we could see 3 to 6 inches of fresh stuff, just in time for the weekend! Make plans to spend your weekend getting fresh lines at Loveland, not waiting in lift lines at the other resorts!

The Snow is Falling at Loveland Ski Area!

Hooray SNOW! It has been a wintery few days here at Loveland with nearly a foot of fresh snow falling on the slopes this week. The forecast also looks good with some reports calling for up to 18" to fall through Sunday. This new snow would go a long way to helping us open more terrain, so keep doing your snow dance!
Be sure to sign up for custom snow reports to be the first to know how much we get. You can receive reports every day, only on Fridays, or anytime we receive 6 inches or more. Sign-up now and never miss another powder day again!

Salomon visits with their new BBR ski for you to demo at no cost. Their new BBR ski features a unique shape that will help you master all corners of the mountain in any conditions. Find them in the front of the Basin Parking Lot for your chance to try out a pair of the BBR Skis. There is no cost to participate although a valid lift ticket, driver's license and credit card for deposit are required.

December Brings Beautiful Weather
December started off on the right track with a few small storms that dropped some fresh snow on Loveland and this weekend the forecast is calling for some sun shine and mild temperatures; perfect early season skiing conditions! Snowmaking has wrapped up leaving everything in the hands of Mother Nature from here on out. Be sure to do your part with a snow dance and pray for powder!

It's not even November yet but we've already had a few awesome powder days here at Loveland! A storm that pushed through Tuesday and Wednesday dropped nearly 2 feet of new snow and the early season conditions are spectacular. We currently have two top to bottom runs open and the recent storm will help get more terrain open very soon. The snowmakers are working hard to put the finishing touches on Chair 6 and we will let you know as soon as it is ready to start turning. The forecast is calling for some beautiful weather this weekend, a great chance to get that first day on the slopes! Early season tickets are only $47 for an adult full day and only $22 for children ages 6-14.

Spring Storms Bring Another 2 Feet to Loveland!
As other ski areas around Colorado are getting ready to close, Loveland is still going strong! A couple spring storms have hit us this week dropping another two feet of fresh and pushing our year-to-date total over 475 inches and our mid-mountain base over 100 inches! With just under a month of the season remaining, there is still time to get great spring skiing and riding in! And with late season ticket pricing now in effect, only $46 for adult and $22 for children, what other excuse do you need?!

As the end of an epic snow season looms in the near future we are excited to announce that 2011 / 2012 Season Passes are on sale now and will be good for the remainder of 2010 / 2011 season as well! Ski & Ride School Open Through May 8th
The Loveland Ski & Ride School will continue to operate as normal out of the Basin Lodge despite the closing of the Loveland Valley. Expert instructors are available for all levels of skiing and snowboarding on both a walk-in and advanced registration basis. The Ski & Ride School is also still offering telemark instructions with advanced registration. Spring is a great time to learn, brush up on technique, or take it to the next level, so get all the info you need by visiting the Loveland Ski & Ride School, or by calling 303-571-5580 x170.
51st Annual Loveland Derby - This Weekend!
The largest amateur ski race in North America returns to Loveland for the 51st Season. Costumes, races, and fun surround this event as racers from all over America travel to celebrate the end of another season. Tall Tee's & Tacos Slopestyle Competition - Session #2 - Saturday, April 23rd
Think you got skills? Prove it at the 2011 Tall Tees & Tacos Slopestyle competition at Loveland Ski Area. Join us as skiers and riders of all ages, abilities, and disciplines compete to win some of the $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs. Wahoo's Fish Tacos returns to provide lunch to competitors as the Skullcandy DJ spins Tunes in the Love Park during the competition. Registration costs $20 and includes and event tall tee and lunch. Valid lift ticket and signed waiver required.
Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party - Saturday, April 30th
Join us on Saturday, April 24th as Loveland Ski Area hosts the 10th annual Corn Harvest benefit ski party for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Packages including lift tickets, lunch, beer, raffle and donation will be available at morning registration for only $60 If you already have a pass or ticket registration will cost $30. A special BBQ will be served up with New Belgium beer and a giant raffle will be giving away some amazing prizes. This is the last big party of the season that you wont want to miss.
