Loveland Valley Opens and Demo Days Return!



Loveland Valley Opens This Weekend!
This Friday, November 20th, the Loveland Valley opens to the public. The Valley is our separate beginner area and home to the Loveland Ski & Ride School. Fist timers and those who just want to get their legs back under them should check out The Loveland Valley. Demo Days Return to Loveland Ski Area!
It's that time of year again; demo days at Loveland that is! You wouldn't buy a car without test-driving it, why should your next pair of skis or snowboard be any different? Keep an eye on the Event Calendar for demos from your favorite brands scheduled at Loveland this fall. This weekend, Colorado Ski & Golf visits with all the brands they carry and a great package deal including lift tickets, lunch and unlimited demos. Last Weekend to Get Loveland 4-Paks!
Loveland's ever-popular unrestricted 4-Paks and Loveland Pass Cards , our frequent user card, and Season P asses are still on sale, but not for much longer! This weekend, November 21st & 22nd, is the last weekend to get these Loveland products. We will be at Larson's Ski & Sport with your last chance to save an extra $10 on 4-Paks. Make plans to visit us at these last sales events because after November 22nd, 4-Paks will not be available and season pass prices will go up. Remember, 4-Paks are unrestricted, actual lift tickets with no blackout dates and are not available at any Loveland Ticket Window.

Colorado Ski & Golf returns to Loveland for their ever-popular November Demo Days. Come out to try the latest and greatest gear before you buy it. Pre-register at any Colorado Ski & Golf location for only $40 including lift ticket, lunch, and unlimited demos. If you already have a ticket or season pass, you can pre-register for only $25 including lunch and demos. Walk-ups are welcome the day of for only $45 with a lift ticket, lunch and unlimited demos. Rome Snowboards Premature Jib Rail Jam - Saturday, November 28th
Loveland partners up with Rome Snowboards to host the 2009 Premature Jib, a rail jam open to snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Register the morning of at no cost for the chance to win some great prizes from Rome Snowboards. Lunch will be provided to all competitors and a valid lift ticket and signed waiver are required.

Nordica Ski's Thanks-Jibing Rail Jam - Sunday, November 29th

Nordica visits Loveland to host an early season skier only jib. Skiers of all ages and abilities are invited to come out to the Love Park and show off their skills on the rails for the chance to win some excellent prizes. Lunch will be provided to all competitors and a valid lift ticket and signed waiver are required.

Outdoor Divas Women's Demo Day - Saturday, December 5th

This past week at Loveland has seen some beautiful weather; blue skies, warm temps, and amazing snow conditions. This nice weather is supposed to stick around through Saturday and then start turning colder. Keep an eye on the forecast and think snow, every little bit counts! We are also gearing up for demo season here at Loveland. Keep an eye on the Event Calendar for upcoming demos and don't forget the Loveland Sports Shops demos all the brands they carry.

Loveland Sports Shop Specials
The Loveland Sports Shop is open for the 2009 - 2010 season and carries all the latest and greatest gear from the top brands. The newest arrivals to the shop are the Go-Pro Helmet Cams! These compact digital cameras can be attached to almost anything and are completely waterproof, but hurry, these things will fly off the shelves! Also, all Nordica clothing is now 25% off! The Loveland Ski & Ride School is has opened for the 2009 - 2010 season! Because the Loveland Valley isn't open yet, Ski & Ride School will be operating on a limited capacity at the Basin Area. Loveland Race Club Ski Ball - Saturday, November 14th
The Loveland Race Club hosts the Loveland Ski Ball, a night filled with music, dinner, dancing, silent auctions and a meet and greet with members of the 2009-10 U.S. Ski Team. Tickets are $100 per seat with all proceeds going to the 2009 - 2010 Loveland Race Club. RSVP by clicking here .

Loveland Now Open for the 2009 - 2010 Season!


You heard right; Loveland Ski Area fired up Chair 1 yesterday making us the first ski area in the nation to open for the 2009-2010 season. Yesterday also marked the earliest Loveland opening in over 40 years! Skiers and riders came from all over to enjoy the first turns of the season with many more to come. Be sure to come out this weekend and give those legs a work out on our 1000 vertical foot run with side to side coverage and an 18" base!

Snowmaking Progress and Storm System Moving In

Our snowmakers are hard at work and making tons of progress. Just check out the pictures and video taken this afternoon, it looks like the middle of winter here at Loveland! Not only is the snowmaking moving ahead quite nicely, but a winter storm warning is in effect and could bring as much as a foot of natural snow over the next 24hrs. Check back for updates and an opening day announcement.

Snowmaking has begun!

Cold temperatures and natural snowfall arrived earlier than expected allowing us to officially kick-off snowmaking for the 2009-2010 season. Crews fired up the system at 11:00 am, 3 days earlier than they were able to last season. With a favorable weather forecast for the next few days, conditions look good to get some good, productive hours in.

Ski Season is Just around the Corner!
As the days become shorter and the air gets a little cooler, it can only mean one thing: ski season is just around the corner! The snow guns are poised and ready as we count down the number of days until we start blowing.
