Spring Storms Bring Another 2 Feet to Loveland!
As other ski areas around Colorado are getting ready to close, Loveland is still going strong! A couple spring storms have hit us this week dropping another two feet of fresh and pushing our year-to-date total over 475 inches and our mid-mountain base over 100 inches! With just under a month of the season remaining, there is still time to get great spring skiing and riding in! And with late season ticket pricing now in effect, only $46 for adult and $22 for children, what other excuse do you need?!

2011 / 2012 Season Pass Announcement
As the end of an epic snow season looms in the near future we are excited to announce that 2011 / 2012 Season Passes are on sale now and will be good for the remainder of 2010 / 2011 season as well! These are the lowest priced passes that will be offered for 2011 / 2012 season and are available online, at the Loveland Basin Ticket Office, or over the phone by calling 303-571-5580 x136. Don't forget, all season passes now come with 3 days at Monarch Mountain, 3 days at Purgatory, plus tons of other great perks! Hurry because these prices expire on Closing Day, May 31st, 2011.

Ski & Ride School Open Through May 8th
The Loveland Ski & Ride School will continue to operate as normal out of the Basin Lodge despite the closing of the Loveland Valley. Expert instructors are available for all levels of skiing and snowboarding on both a walk-in and advanced registration basis. The Ski & Ride School is also still offering telemark instructions with advanced registration. Spring is a great time to learn, brush up on technique, or take it to the next level, so get all the info you need by visiting the Loveland Ski & Ride School, or by calling 303-571-5580 x170.

51st Annual Loveland Derby - This Weekend!
The largest amateur ski race in North America returns to Loveland for the 51st Season. Costumes, races, and fun surround this event as racers from all over America travel to celebrate the end of another season. Tall Tee's & Tacos Slopestyle Competition - Session #2 - Saturday, April 23rd
Think you got skills? Prove it at the 2011 Tall Tees & Tacos Slopestyle competition at Loveland Ski Area. Join us as skiers and riders of all ages, abilities, and disciplines compete to win some of the $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs. Wahoo's Fish Tacos returns to provide lunch to competitors as the Skullcandy DJ spins Tunes in the Love Park during the competition. Registration costs $20 and includes and event tall tee and lunch. Valid lift ticket and signed waiver required.

Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party - Saturday, April 30th
Join us on Saturday, April 24th as Loveland Ski Area hosts the 10th annual Corn Harvest benefit ski party for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Packages including lift tickets, lunch, beer, raffle and donation will be available at morning registration for only $60 If you already have a pass or ticket registration will cost $30. A special BBQ will be served up with New Belgium beer and a giant raffle will be giving away some amazing prizes. This is the last big party of the season that you wont want to miss.

This past week at Loveland has seen some perfect spring skiing conditions: sunny, warm and of course tons of great snow. The forecast is calling for this spring weather to continue this weekend after the chance for some fresh snow tonight. Meteorologists are calling for anywhere between a couple inches to up to a foot! Be sure to never miss a powder day by signing up for our custom snow reports delivered daily, on Fridays, or anytime we receive 6 inches or more.

Get Up, Get Down, Get Out! GOALS Vertical Challenge
Get Outside and Learn Something, or GOALS, is a youth development program designed to educated kids in ways they would otherwise not learn in the classroom through multi-day wilderness river trips. Only three days into March and we've already got a taste of what's to come. Starting with that classic spring feel of warm temps and blue skies, now it's snowing so hard you can practically watch the inches accumulate! March is normally our snowiest month and with 339 inches so far this season, breaking our 400 inch average sounds like a no-brainer. The fourth and final Ski Hooky Party of the season is taking place on Thursday, March 10th! Come out and take advantage of the cheapest lift tickets around, only $15 for the day. Subaru's Family Race Day - Saturday & Sunday, March 12th & 13th
Join us on Saturday & Sunday, March 12th & 13th as Loveland hosts Subaru's Master the Mountain. The event includes free mini-lessons in the Subaru Learning Lane, Nordica demos and an insider's look at the operations of the National Ski Patrol with an avalanche awareness and beacon training session. The Loveland Race Club will be hosting a free family race between 10am - 2pm on Firecut, so be sure to sign up the morning of in the Subaru tent. Free goodies and prizes surround the event as a Subaru command post is set up at the base of the mountain complete with free popcorn, hot chocolate and coffee. Enter to win a pair of Nordica Skis or Burton Snowboard while at the Subaru Tent. The first Subaru drivers to enter the parking lot receive VIP treatment with front row parking right next to Lift 1 while spaces last. This promises to be a weekend you won't want to miss. After a week of frigid temperatures Mother Nature is giving us a break and some more snow too! The meteorologists can't quite agree on how much we can expect out of this storm, but the forecast is calling for the snow to start falling as soon as tonight an continue through the weekend. If everything works out the way we hope there might be some good powder days this weekend!

School of Mines Fraternity Hosts Fundraiser
Loveland is excited to host the men of Beta Theta Pi from the Colorado School of Mines this Saturday, February 5th for their annual Ski-a-Thon philanthropy event. Tons of Fresh Snow Makes for Great Skiing and Riding!


Storm Drops 3 Feet of Snow on Loveland This Week!
The snow fell hard this week here at Loveland and nearly 3 feet of fresh snow was added to our slopes. With this latest storm our year-to-date snowfall total is now 232 inches! To put that number in perspective, on this day last year we only had 116 inches of natural snowfall.

Just in case you had any doubts about how great the conditions are, check out the pictures on the left taken this week by David Gidley, and this video taken on Tuesday. Since that video was filmed we received yet another foot of snow and the forecast is calling for up to a foot through this weekend! Make your plans to spend the weekend skiing one of Colorado's snowiest ski areas, Loveland!

A snow storm is brewing in the west and heading our way with the possibility for some good accumulation over the holiday weekend. The forecast is calling for the snow to start falling tonight and continue through Monday, Martin Luther King Day. Take advantage of this long weekend by skipping the crowds and avoiding the extra drive time by choosing to ski Loveland!

Save $ on Lift Tickets at Offsite Locations!
Not only is the snow going to be great this weekend, but you can save some money on your lift tickets by purchasing them at one of our many off-site ticket sales locations. Intermountain Humane Society Needs Your Help
A recent outbreak at The Intermountain Humane Society of Pine Junction, Colorado has caused them to cancel a fundraiser scheduled to be hosted here at Loveland and left them with a huge financial strain and need your help now more than ever. They are taking donations of not just money, but items such a pet food, fleece blankets, cleaning equipment, grooming equipment and even toys.
